A tweet from @civileater alerted me to the fact that today is Wendell Berry’s birthday. I admit I’ve never read a complete Berry book, but his writings and his work have inspired many of the innovators in food, sustainability and ecology that I have met. Personally, I have a quote from one of his books framed in my kitchen:
“Eating is inescapably an agricultural act, and how we eat determines, to a considerable extent, how the world is used.”
