Well, that’s the state of my garden so far this year. Red radishes might sound good, but it’s not the root that’s big and red. It’s the short, stunted leaves that went red. My friend Erl says I shouldn’t be worried yet, but I am. Most of the cooperative extension sites that have information about radish problems focus on the opposite issues (understandably) of all leaf and no radish. If anyone has ideas about why my little guys are stunted, let me know!
My friend Arun says it’s just the cotyledons that are looking sad — which is normal, so I shouldn’t worry. I still think the plants are kinda stunted, but maybe I’m just a crazy over-bearing radish mommy.
